I switched from a Samsung Galaxy S8 to this and have repeatedly kicked myself over the decision; it's a shame you can't send it back. Listed below are some advantages: The Stereo Sound System's Performance and Design There's something new hidden behind the fingerprint reader on your phone, but you can't always get in the first time, not even if you add four fingerprints from the same finger and disable the retina scanner. Front-facing camera facial recognition is painfully sluggish. Cons: After four days of use, my first impressions aren't great; for the price, I was hoping for more. The device feels a little less well-balanced in my hand than the Galaxy S8 and S9, and the power button is positioned higher than it needs to be. The battery drains rapidly; I had the impression that it wouldn't last on the S8, but it's even worse here; I have to charge it twice a day if I don't use the device more frequently than I do the S8; on the first day, I had to charge it three times! The camera is comparable to or slightly better than that of the Galaxy S8, but without autofocus (and with a wider lens). Low-quality optical zoom of x2 magnification When using the "natural colors" setting, it usually seems like they merely reduced saturation for a minute, however when using the "saturated colors" setting, warm tones / shades go away and brown remains, which just blew my mind because I haven't seen anything like it in a long time. This is a prof. photo shoot that I am currently involved in. The photos look great on this device, but the interface and videos are just fine. After a lot of time and effort, I finally tracked down the "color adjustment" option in the "visibility enhancement tools" menu and was able to get the colors to roughly the same level as on my Samsung Galaxy S8. Perhaps it's just my screen's incompatibility with my preferences or the settings. Furthermore, there is an issue with the brightness in several applications, such as Facebook and YouTube, where it turns on by itself at maximum even when adaptive brightness is disabled in the settings. Overall, I'd say it's an evolution but not a revolution; everything seems extremely wet, and I'm crossing my fingers that the software gets fixed before I make the leap from S8 to S9.
