It is a good R/C car, but I expected metal suspension and a faster top speed for the price range. The fairly modest speed doesn't really warrant the metal parts. It'd be hard to break something unless you're basically doing it on purpose. It handles well on any surface, but the soft and squishy suspension makes it slightly more prone to flipping over when cornering if there are bumps. It is hard to do a hook slide, but the thing goes where you point it! It is very easy to control and I am a fan of the size of R/C car. I've got a faster Li-Ion powered car, which is a surprise. It isn't that this one is underpowered, but it isn't as fast as I'd expected. I was blazing around a full speed and the plastic right below the motor got a little warped. I can't give this one more than 3 stars. If it was around the $70-75 range, It'd be 5 stars. At $99, it seems a bit overpriced. After all, it only comes with 1 battery.
