I've been building PCs for over 24 years, I built a Ryzen (1700x) last summer and a new Intel PC this summer. I give Intel the edge because if you can get that, I highly recommend getting the ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING LGA1151. The difference is that every month I build a lot of PCs for all kinds of people, but the main difference is that AMD Ryzen is very weak with RAM and *overclocking, while Intel is not, and you can use many, many different models and Get 3200MHz. I have g.skill and decided to see if ripjaw 5 would do 3200 @ 3200 with no problems and on Intel it worked fine just by clicking on one option in BIOS and that is XMP profile 1 . .. how simple. Ryzen won't have that, but it should since it's more intense (I know you can buy Torch X). I'm talking about the 3200 with Ripjaw 5. Anyway it's a great processor and I managed to get all 6 cores stable. under load at 5.0 GHz. Great processor for games and other video software.
