Review on πŸ’ͺ Meister Professional Heavy Bag Spring - Black (for Punching Bags up to 250lb) by Justin Boisvert

Don't buy a carabiner, be sure to measure

UPDATE: I found a solution to the noise: I cut off a few inches of the bike's inner tube, folded them and placed them between the springs and the hook on my stand. It muffles the sound very well. I bought it to use with a heavy bag stand to try and reduce the noise. This had mixed results. It absorbs some of the shock and makes the stand frame move a little less and reduces *that* noise, but the noise of the spring rubbing against the metal hook was pretty shrill and bad. This was largely corrected by having my attachment hook on the side (when it was directly in front of the bag) and the spring attachment points parallel to me. So when the bag moves, it basically rolls forward like a wheel. As for the extra carabiner - it lengthened the bag too much (lowered the bag) and is quite thick. I replaced it with a Lowe 3 1/2" carabiner (because Home Depot donates to Trump). My heavy bag came with 1/4" carabiners so the carrying capacity should be good (1/2" is around Β£800 anyway). ).Overall the spring is great for what it's designed for, just pay attention to your setup and measure the length of your current hanger. You may need a similar spring but shorter to keep the bag at the correct height.
