Review on FinaMill Operated Quick Change Stackable Chef_Gray by Tom Goodlow

I needed a new pepper mill and came across this one. Reviews are great and I liked the idea of using it for multiple spices; not just peppers. Tried it with white peppercorns. It was good and bad.1. The capsules are not that difficult to open. You need to grab the white "teeth" and then turn on the transparent part and it will disappear immediately. When you put the pod on the grinder you have to push it down, but I never heard a "click" like the instructions say. It fell off the first time and spilled peppercorns everywhere, so I guess I didn't put it on properly. I tried many more times and every time everything was fine, but since there is no feedback it is not easy to tell if you have set it correctly. The tray is functional but not beautiful and looks cheap. If I wanted to keep this item I would pay extra for a more attractive tray.4. Most importantly, the grind setting is not enough. It doesn't grind well. I turned the setting all the way down, which supposedly stops the grinding. With this setting, I mixed a fine grind with a coarse grind. It also sounds very tedious when chopping the peppers. (I haven't tried anything else). If I even go to a slightly lower setting, the grind will be coarse. Looking at the pods, it seems that large chunks are stuck in the coffee grinder. I sent it back mainly due to the lack of a grind setting. I bought a manual coffee grinder with a fine grind setting.
