works fine but pH sensor response is very slow

Bought to replace my vintage box from the 70's (see attached picture and let me know if you need it for your museum want to buy, I will give it to you at a good price). The pH meter works fine but I refused to use the probe that came with it. I replaced it with one I've had for over 5 years that still works and behaves like a regular lab sensor. The original sensor was accurate enough, but slow. but the hat is hardly a surprise. Anyone experienced with pH meters knows that the box doesn't matter, it's the sensor that defines your experience.
