Review on πŸ”Š Portable Home Bluetooth Audio Power Amplifier - 2X120 Watt, 2 Channel Surround Sound Stereo Receiver with USB - Amplified Subwoofer Speaker, CD DVD, MP3, iPhone, Phone, Theater, PA System - Pyle PTAU45 by George Sullivan

I have had several Pyle amps over the years.

I have had several Pyle amps over the years and most have worked well. I was using the PTAU45 to power a couple of speakers and when nothing was playing I heard a grating static noise. I unplugged everything but the speakers and still had the problem. It turned out that the interference was coming from the microphone output circuitry. When I turn up the microphone (no microphone) volume, the static electricity volume increases, so there is some kind of short circuit or grounding problem at the microphone output. I ordered a new replacement amp and the first spring clip I had connected the speaker wire to was immediately in my hands. I sent it back and ordered a basic 2x120 with no frills, no USB, no mic out and no headphone jack. A total of 2 RCA inputs on the back and 3.5 aux inputs on the front, as well as volume, bass, treble. If the spring clips don't hold together I'll move on to a different brand. I don't understand why Pyle doesn't put rear speaker stands on at least some models. I would happily pay extra for this feature.**************** The new Pyle PCA4 arrived today and I've had no problems with the spring terminals, the amp works well and supplies my 50- Watt-Klipsch with Strom KG. 5 bookshelf speakers are very good, I can play half volume (which is too loud for comfortable listening) before distortion occurs. Nice clean sound for the price of an amp. I still think there should be stands instead of spring clips for speaker wire.
