Comet antennas may seem expensive at first, but I've bought several and have always been very happy with my choice. The design and materials used by Comet are exceptional. When lowered, the antenna mast fits the width of my SDS200 (7 inches), so it fits perfectly in the small carrying case. The whip antenna extends up to 38 inches, and nice graphics on the antenna show which sections need to be extended when 440MHz tuning is required. up to 80MHz. cool The extended antenna isn't wobbly either, so it won't break in the wind on the road, and the BNC connector holds the position well.
