Review on 🔧 Complete RJ45 Crimping Tool Kit: Ethernet Crimp Tool Set with Connectors, Covers, Cable Tester, and Wire Stripper by James Maruffo

I bought a crimping tool kit to have a full set of items I need for a fairly large Cat6a -need wiring work. The crimping tool is very strong and easily fits RJ45 connectors (both 26AWG and larger 23AWG offset wiring). The crimping tool has a ratchet to allow re-gripping for final pressure. However, the ratchet mechanism takes some getting used to. This is a good idea and works great once you master it. Shouldn't be a problem in normal operation. Strain relief covers (or socks as I call them) fit regular 26 gauge Cat5/6 wiring well, but will not fit 23 gauge plenum wire. Small problem, but for big industrial work you need big "socks". For most home projects, this is fine. The RJ45 connectors are pass-through, and the internal wiring alignment is very smooth and easy to use. Even lines that are not perfectly aligned can be inserted with minimal effort and a good connection can be made. The circuit tester requires a 9V battery. It works great, simply tests each wire of the Cat5/6 cable for continuity and shows a green light if it passes the test in sequence (1-8). Misfires are clearly visible. Makes it easy to check cables before installation in hard-to-reach places or between floors. Experience shows that it is best to check the cables before installation. Overall a good crimp kit for the price. Can't say how long it lasts but the weight of a real crimping tool seems very strong. Update Changed from 5 to 4 stars: After two days of use, the Circuit Tester seems to be out of order. Everything worked at first, but now there is a problem. I have tested the tester with known good cables and the Circuit Tester error appears the same for all cables. Requested a replacement from the company. Will be updated when the issue is resolved. Further update. The supplier sent me a new circuit tester very quickly. This works great and I have now changed my rating back to 5 stars due to the excellent customer service.
