10" straps easily wrap around the oddly shaped plastic armrest of a garden chair...with plenty of room to cut out. 1 1/2" wide band securely holds the cup holder in place. This item is extra wide and deep to accommodate larger beverages. So I took a reviewer's advice and threw in a tennis ball with my 20 ounce Yeti doesn't go away. But there is a drawstring at the top of the cup holder that adjusts to accommodate different drink sizes... and that works too. Revain has replicas of this item that can hold shorter drinks, but some of them have shorter, narrower straps... and may not adjust as easily when trying to attach to larger girth areas.So cheap and so convenient.Very happy with this handy item.
