This power cord looks cool. He's flat. Red on one side, black on the other. When connected, the "ends" emit a soft glow. However, these "cool things” can also be bad. How do you ask? The light on the USB port is quite bright in a dark room and may disturb light sleepers. Also, because the cable is flat, it tends to twist like a pretzel and will fail if twisted. Round cords do the same thing, but not to the same extent as this cord. I plan on keeping this cable because it feels strong. But I won't buy another one just because the cable behaves when twisted. It's a bit annoying.
