Okay, I don't really mind - for wood. When I tried to sand the aluminum it left marks due to holes in the floor. But for the price, they work great. There are several options I've found for sizes that work. Ali/Gator sandpaper produces 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" sheets that fit perfectly. This is the recommended size. I also found that a strip about 3" x 7-1/4" would be clamped end to end (as is the case with the 400 grit in my drawing). 4 pieces measuring 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" which is good for larger grains. And allows you to use the entire sheet. I've marked mine for a quick shot. If you want a really flat sanding block with no holes, I would recommend the 3M rubber block.
