So far so good, but note the limitations

Just a few days. So far this seems to be exactly what I wanted. It seems easy to set up and use, but there is virtually NO actual documentation - mostly trial and error. Maybe that's a good thing, too, since their English translations are so bad. But I still have to wonder what the heck "adsorption" is and how does that relate to the plastic casing that's attached to the outside of the cooker? This little documentation spends more time convincing you that the sensors are wired correctly. on something else! And I can understand that as the candles make a very distinct "pop" when pushed all the way in and it takes quite a bit of force to do that. It certainly makes sense why some people have trouble understanding this. But these tight-fitting connectors also ensure that no probe is accidentally disconnected during use. There are multiple options to customize this thing's settings, and you'll need to use a smartphone with Bluetooth; otherwise it's just 4 digital timings displayed one second at a time. The phone app is pretty basic too, but it gets the job done. You cannot DIRECTLY enter a target or high/low range - the only option is to select a preset item such as turkey or beef - with blood. If this preset only has one target temperature you will get that, but some also have maximum and minimum temperature ranges for the alarm. The good news is that it includes many existing presets, and entering a new one is just as easy (as editing existing ones). Entering a new preset only takes about a minute (or less), after which it stays in the application for further use. The app also lets you set a target time and display a note to remind you what to do when the alarm goes off. The four sensors come with two clips that only appear to fit the grill grate. I've been experimenting with one of these to see if it can be used to hold a probe on a pan to check the temperature of oil or candy etc and it seems unreliable at best: you can't secure the clip attach to the pan, and because the probes are only 4 inches long, they're worthless if you want to fry in a deep pan to avoid oil splattering. So this device is mostly limited to use with a grill or oven, but with four probes you have a lot of options for what you can control. I think it's fair since they advertise it as a "barbecue thermometer" but it would be so better with at least a longer probe and a better clamp to prolong its use. .
