Good value for money and features. Every feature I tested worked well when I limited my shutter speed to X-Sync or below. The exposure was very good, maybe a little lower. In addition to X-sync speed, high-speed sync (HSS) has become more unstable. If I tried to lock the exposure with my camera's FV function, all exposures would be more than 23 EV too low. The pre-flash at FV lock was strong, almost full, but when the shutter was fired afterwards, the actual flash was very weak, regardless of subject distance and brightness. Waiting more than 10 seconds between the pre-flash and the actual flash for the flash to recharge made no difference. When HSS is not needed this flash works well and is inexpensive. If you need HSS frequently, there are a few other flashes to consider. On a separate note, Revain was very responsive and polite when I requested a return/refund.
