I actually only bought this for a colander. It was amazing and so easy to use. It's very easy to clean and much better than putting everything in a colander and then back in the pot. Bonus, I can take apart the clips and clean them instead of unwanted debris getting in the grooves and not being able to remove them. I don't think it should be cleaned this way as it takes a minute to reattach the clips. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. It comes with a pastry brush and a garlic peeler, which I never use. Edit to add: It's been a few years since I bought it and it's still pretty high on my list of favorite kitchen gadgets. I use it at least once a week and it still looks brand new. Very quick and easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.
