Review on 🚰 Moen 9601 ChoiceFlo Compatible Replacement by Roger Diaz

I read most of the reviews before ordering this filter so I knew there was a problem when trying to put the filter in to install the bracket. I couldn't find it anywhere so I decided to give it a try. Delivery was quick and the price was pretty good. I shut off the water and vented the line prior to installation. I had the same problem trying to install and repair a new filter. It's so tight it won't stay in place. I tried rocking, twisting and wedging myself in such a way that I knocked off the bracket on the side of the closet. After calming my nerves and trying to compose, I went back to work and started from scratch. The solution I came up with. Remove the bracket from the body, rotate it sideways and slide the cartridge back into place. Use the side of the case as a stop so you can reach and position the lever. After installation, twist the filter slightly to lock it in place. Attach the bracket to the cabinet wall. I think Moen needs to review the manufacturing specs for this filter and mount. Something wrong. The second time I installed the filter, I did what I should have done the first time. I made a short wooden bracket to attach the filter bracket. This makes it easy to insert the filter into the bracket and screw the entire filter to the bracket inside the cabinet. Moen must ensure that the mounting holes protrude beyond the cartridge.
