A bit messy but functional
The product didn't come with instructions so it took us a few tries before realizing that it's best to use it horizontally rather than vertically. It won't stretch to accommodate thicker corn cobs. It can still be used on thicker ears, but it's a bit tougher and messier. A layer of corn remains on part of the cob, but not very much, and this layer is easy to eat from the cob. While this product minimizes the spilling of corn kernels around, it does not eliminate it.
