My Duramax has ben sitting for a couple of years (as I don't tow stuff like I used to) and I wanted to drain the old diesel out for fear of condensation adding water to my fuel before starting. This pump worked great when paired with a semi rigid flexible tube to drain out about 7 gallons in no time at all.After all of that there was no water in my fuel but I was able to start my truck with no fears and it started right up and ran great just like I knew it would. I love my old Duramax. This pump is a good one. 5 STARS
