Works well, easy to use
Purchased when my teenager got his driver's license. Easy setup and usability. I've looked at the ones that mount directly to your car, but I've seen reviews of them causing problems with the car. So I wanted something with batteries. The battery lasts about a week, after which it begins to discharge. And you can set it to alarm at the selected point (I set it to 30%). My son knows he's there but if you want to be a little more discreet that will probably work for you.
