They clip easily onto your needles to prevent your yarn from slipping when your project is put aside. It's the perfect accessory if you want to take your knits with you in your bag or even protect them from curious kids or pets. I bought a few sets because I use them all the time. Nice that there are two sizes (for small/large needles). I definitely recommend them for all metal needles. (I don't think they are safe for wood due to the spring tension.)
