Review on 🔧 Moroso 3.5-inch Carburetor Stud Kit - Model 37961 by Bruce Marable

I bought these extended studs so I can use a phenolic gasket between the carburetor and the engine (hot starting issues on an old truck). The specified torque for these 5/16 inch bolts is 12-15 ft-lbs. Using my torque wrench, I increased the torque to 12 ft-lbs before the threads on the shaft snapped. I used the nuts that came with the rivets. Unlike the Revain photo, the studs have been plated with black oxide rather than nickel/zinc as shown. The quality of the steel used in it is very poor and I would NOT recommend using it on your vehicle.
