The gloss black look seems to go with my Mazda 3 dark gray quite well. It should be noted that what I received had some surface imperfections (rips, warping marks) - but I don't care, it's a sacrificial piece anyway. In terms of installation, of course clean your surface adequately, at least with a good cloth (I also accidentally added a layer of sealer/wax in front of my hand and apparently this makes future removal easier and maybe protects against minor scuffs). In terms of application, after you line up the piece, peel off one end and glue that end of the bumper first - for it to stick you really need to press the center of the bumper firmly against the surface of the car as the glue is there actually somewhat sunk into the curves. Then I just worked on it, peeling off more and more tape etc. etc. and done! So far it's held up pretty well after a week (even after driving over 500km). One thing I'm really worried about is the concavity in the bumper that I was talking about. As a result, the "sharp" (but of course rubbery) edges of the bumper seem to dig into the surrounding paintwork. Experience has shown that this can scratch the paintwork with door edge moldings, but that remains to be seen, as will the durability of the product.
