Review on πŸ”‘ 2013-2015 Kia Soul Flipkey Osloka-875T with 4 Buttons- Improved SEO by Michael Gupta

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It worked great, but the key blank is not so easy to install in a new radio opener.

Only received a radio opener/transponder with a 2014 Kia Soul Exclaim that we bought used. I ordered this new 4 button remote/transponder from Revain and took it along with my original keyed remote opener/transponder to Batteries Plus in Sarasota, FL. essentially OEM, ie original Kia genuine part in factory packaging. He said he had some difficulties with other fake remotes/transponders, but the original Kia worked and programmed very well almost always. Indeed it was. The whole process takes longer than you might think as these new keys are laser cut and both sides need to be cut. Once the key blade is cut off, it manually unlocks the car door but won't start the car until the remote/transponder is programmed (i.e. the 4 button black thing that holds the key like a jackknife). This takes about 5-10 minutes and is performed in the car using a laptop device used by a technician which plugs into the car's computer jack just under the dash. The remote control was soon programmed and everything worked perfectly. The ONLY clue I have is that the blank key that comes with the new 4 button remote transponder needs to be inserted into the remote using the VERY tiny 1/16" cotter pin that comes with the blank key . he didn't have pliers to push the pin through the hole in the key blank, and he was afraid to try because the tiny pin might fly out and get lost. the key in a 4 button remote control, long enough to program it and turn the key in the ignition after the programming is done. I'm pretty tech savvy so I took it home, removed the paper clip and carefully inserted the cotter pin into the key and its 'flip' holder. It's a little difficult. wrong move and that little needle will be lost forever. For those who are less tech savvy, I suspect the locksmith inserts a tiny pin into the remote and thus 'inserts' the key into the fold-out holder for only a very modest price. Charger. For the rest. It was a great purchase, works great and matches my original remote perfectly. I'm not sure, but I think only some Batteries Plus stores offer remote programming, not all.
