Review on ๐Ÿท Effortless Uncorking: True TrueTap Double Hinged Waiterโ€™s Corkscrew for Easy Wine Opening by Mandy Nelson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Barely worth $4, bad design.

This is a decent corkscrew, but by no means a great one. A foil blade is almost useless, about as sharp as a butter knife. He pushes the foil in, but cannot cut it. It also opens at a very odd angle. The corkscrew itself is fine, but it doesn't have a large groove at the top, so it tends to crumble natural corks a bit when you start it. Finally, the console does not open fully. parallel to the screw, which means you have to use more force to pull the cork out, and the edges are just enough to grab the bottle. I have to hold the lever against the bottle to keep it from slipping, which I didn't have to do with previous corkscrews. buy something better, but then they will be recycled!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No paint required
