This product is exactly what is advertised. This is a CD player with a radio under the kitchen. It is very easy to install, configure and use. The sound is okay - better than most radios, but certainly not on the level of a mini system or a normal stereo system with bookshelf speakers. It's for the kitchen, as the saying goes - so the great sound was lost to the sound of the hood, microwave and other cooking noises. This is our second of these devices - the first lasted over 10 years before the radio problems became unbearable. , which forces us to replace it with this device. This brings us to the reason for 4 and not 5 stars. Sony in its infinite wisdom, but the radio antenna is in the power cord. That means constantly fumbling with the line position to get decent reception. Because the antenna is in the power cord, the radio is subject to radio frequency interference from other kitchen appliances and light sources. This radio seems to be very susceptible to interference even in times of very high humidity. Conclusion - reasonable kitchen product, easy to install, good CD player, radio problems due to poor antenna design.
