Difference from power strips and surge protectors

Attention, every picture shows that you can connect your own c13 power cable to the device. That's wrong, the device comes with a wired power cord. The description says it has a 4ft power cord, but I'm joking that I think it's a 4ft C13 power cord that I can swap out for a longer cord if needed. Right now I'm stuck in this discussion of what I'm going to do with it, I need more than 4ft so looks like I threw away $50. Edit: Added some pictures.
