We gave this watch to our 7 year old and it certainly tells the time although the buttons are not marked so god forbid you lose the instructions. Scan this piece of paper or keep it in a safe place. This watch lasted 3 years and then the LCD segments started to disappear. Assuming it was just a battery drain, I opened the back panel to swap out the CR2025 battery. Now I'm a computer specialist used to opening tiny boxes. But on this watch, the battery was so inaccessible, sandwiched between the logic board and the display (and mostly held together just by pulling a six-buckle strap) that I couldn't be sure if the battery was dead, the LCD was indeed failed. , or I missed the ridiculously tight tolerances of attaching the data board to the display (again, no rails or latches, just surface-to-surface contact). I would give assembling this watch a solid 4.5/5 for difficulty. Don't worry about using this for a short time and then sending it to the landfill for your kids (and their kids) to sort it out one day, it's your watch. What signal does this send to my 10-year-old that his favorite watch was mostly disposable? A better designed watch could and should have lasted much longer, especially as a CR2025 replacement should only cost 50 cents.
