Review on Boahaus Liverpool Bar Cabinet, Wine Storage, Dark Brown Finish by Jessica Johnson

Needs better reinforcment

I chose this cabinet because the doors folded out, and everything was visible for easy choices. The height is good for mixing drinks. It took some time to assemble, and most of it was very well thought out.My issue is that the base is cheesy. Once you stand it up, you dare not move it since the underside is held in place by the cheapest little "L" brackets. I would say it would be impossible to move at all when loaded with your favorites.I decided to remove the small pressboard strips and replace them with a single 3/4" piece of plywood, cut to the same size as the base, and screw 4" casters to the plywood, so I can move it around or lock it in place. A much better solution and makes this storage cabinet more versatile for parties or moving where your guests are.It also needs a positive locking latch to secure the two doors. Keep kids out and keeps doors from opening by accident. The magnets are not strong enough with the weight of Vodka, Gin, and Scotch in the doors. The other issue is that the doors get heavy. They used enough hinges, but they are low quality and allow the doors to sage when opened. Easy to fix that, too, but who wants to fix something you just bought? I will use it, and it will work fine, and modifying it was easier and cheaper than buying the next versions for double the money.

Pros
  • Center Storage: You will find a centered shelf with additional space for your spirits, ice bucket, and mix drinks. A handy drawer (ideal for accessories) and hanging stemware storage will complete this masterpiece.
Cons
  • Limited Storage Capacity
