I have a single 12k9 d2 speaker in a 2.2 cu ft enclosure tuned to about 33 Hz and a Rockford Prime 750 (820 W actual output ) operates. The thing bangs! I have sag on all 4 doors. If you can find a subwoofer for less than $115 that ships to me that can do it, I'm all ears. It's also built like a tank. I recently installed a pair of Sundown Sa 12's and to be honest they have the same build quality. It's hard to compare the sound between the 2 because the sunset setting was double 12 but I think the k9 holds its place and considering the sunsets cost almost twice as much. It's also worth noting that the first k9 model had sticking issues and the dust caps were a bit flexible. The model on Amazon is now a new and improved version. The box says the glue is the high temp version and the dust cap is "super tough" and it is! Don't look at the size description of the box, it's too small. The instructions that came with the box say 1.8 to 2.75cc. I divided the difference by 2.2 and it sounds very good. But generally, the more you go, the more effective it becomes, and the louder and deeper it hits. I'll update if anything happens in the future, but for now I'm very satisfied!
