My search for allen bits started because: • Most of my allen wrenches are cheap and easy to remove • Most of my allen wrenches are nowhere to be found when I need them • I have often wanted to use them in your drill. Why did I buy them? • The price was right • I researched the material listed (chrome molybdenum) and found it to work well for this type of tool • They are magnetic (always a plus for most of my needs) • The right choice of SAE and Metric for my needs My thoughts at the moment: • Sizes printed on actual bits aren't the best. One bit has no dimensions and the other has a curve • Bits are oily but better than rusty. Many new metal tools and implements are lubricated with grease or oil to prevent rusting. Cleaning is easy with a cloth. • The specified bit length of 2.3 inches is correct and meets my requirements. • I don't know what tolerances the small hex bits should be machined to, but I have provided (see image) what I need. actually measured every bit. I used a branded caliper (Mitutoyo) for these measurements. They are advertised as being measured for a perfect fit, but my measurements do not reflect that claim. On the smaller sizes, measurement is really important and the 2mm bit was loose on some screws I tried, but that might be because they were cheap screws (I have 3mm hex screws used with 2 mm). • The smaller hex bit, 1.5mm, doesn't have a sharp hex shape and looks almost cylindrical on one side I don't have 1.5 hex screws to try on • Will take a while to use them See how well they hold up but i hope they hold up well and don't come loose easily. I'd rather unscrew the bar than keep replacing ace tools. I'll try to update this review after using them for a while to get a better idea of how they're holding up.
