This device is great in concept, but it introduces a 0.4V voltage drop from your 13.8V power supply to your hardware. This sometimes limited my radio's overall transmit power. About two months later the battery charging function stopped working and I sent it back. Since it was outside the return window, it cost me $20 for the "refill".
