This article consists of 8 parts; There are 4 wall pieces (all 4 the same size) plus 4 extensions (all 4 the same size). The extensions match the wall elements. To get the perfect fit I installed one side of the gate with wall pieces only (no extensions) and the other side of the gate with extensions. There are several options to configure them to get the right extension. Using them not only protects my wall, but also makes my gate stronger. My gate fit into the extension cord with no problems.
