Updated review for Internals

Edit 14/4/21: It has been 4 months since I last edited my review. I really wanted to take the time to write a detailed review of my experience with the supplier. I bought this power supply during the pandemic and amid the power supply price gouging. When well-known brands like Seasonic and EVGA were selling their lower end power supplies for around the same price, I bought this FSP power supply. A 1000W PSU for around $200 made sense. As I noted in my original review, everything worked flawlessly until a controlled shutdown was initiated after prolonged use. The next day when I started the computer there were clicks/pops. I won't repeat my complaints about Revain's RMA process (they don't have one!). I'm just saying it takes perseverance. My email exchange with the seller was actually very pleasant. They quickly sent me an RMA ticket. I didn't have to pay for shipping but I did insure and track the package. I'm just covering all my bases in case the accusation game starts. The seller received my unit just days before the holidays and I left it at that until next year. My experience with this vendor's customer service and RMA process felt a little. like I'm a high flying parent? Throughout my relationship with her CS rep, it really felt like I caught her off guard. I will explain; I contacted the seller on January 6th to make sure he actually received the device. They ask for a tracking number for reference. After providing the tracking number, I had to contact them again a few days later to verify that they had it. They respond by reviewing and updating the RMA process. It seemed like the RMA team got the device and started the process without updating the CS rep (at least that's how I interpreted the email). Apparently the IC was damaged and a replacement part was ordered from the Taiwan headquarters. It was January 6th. Supply chains were what they were during the pandemic and I didn't expect things to change quickly. All I wanted were updates. Next time I heard from the seller on March 29th. And only because I initiated the contact. I was just looking for an update, I definitely wasn't trying to rush or rush them! They got back to me on March 31st to let me know that the RMA team received the part and will try to fix my unit within 2 weeks. On April 6th I was contacted by a seller who informed me that unfortunately the RMA team could not repair my unit and that I would receive a full CC refund. Overall I am not dissatisfied with the whole process. The CS representative was very responsive and helpful when asked. I felt like they really tried everything to get good results with their warranty/product/brand, which I really appreciate. Damn! I would appreciate it if you would send me a new replacement unit! But only if they could guarantee not to have the same problem. My only complaint is that I felt like a floating parent making sure the kids do their homework. I'm changing my rating to 3 stars because 1) even though I didn't get my unit back or a replacement, they gave me a refund, 2) even though I should have made all the contacts, they gave me the information I was looking for to the. I hope this helps others in the future. EDIT 5/12/20: I contacted the seller through the Revain portal and picked a random topic. I explained to the seller that I would like an RMA and within 3 days I got a response from them. After giving me some information, they sent me an RMA ticket 3 days later. Updated when I get the power pack. Original post: I bought this PSU to power a Ryzen 9 but there is an overhead to improve efficiency. Installation was easy and I liked the fact that SATA cables have a dedicated connector on the PSU. I liked that it was at least $50-$100 cheaper than branded power supplies. And for a month and a half it worked fine, but for sure, immediately after the return window closed, the block began to show its shortcomings. for a long time, but from time to time I completely shut down my system. After such a shutdown, the next day I went to start the computer and nothing. Turned the PSU on and off and when I turned it back on I heard crackling noises coming from the PSU. Needless to say, the unit was removed and replaced with an AC adapter, which I had to purchase as a replacement. If you watch the video closely you can hear the cracking I'm talking about. And now that the returns window is closed, and FSP is insisting returns and RMAs go through the retailer, and since Revain doesn't make RMAs direct and easy, my last resort is to post reviews in hopes that I'll tighten it up can this problem.
