This product works as advertised. I am happy with this choice for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma SR5 - I think this type of product is VERY dependent on the location, size and shape of your particular vehicle's cup holder. The cup holders in my truck are low enough that this taller unit was helpful in getting my phone high enough so my eyes weren't completely distracted from the road. This makes it easier to follow directions from the mapping application. This product fits securely in a drink holder and has not come loose after a few weeks of use. The hand is hard but flexible This allows me to put the phone where I want, without it shifting or falling down by itself due to gravity or vehicle movement. So I think most phones will have no problem plugging in the charging cable if it's installed in the device. The only rattle I have (and I'm sure there will be a similar issue with any device that big with a heavy phone hanging from the top) is that the phone shakes/vibrates when I'm driving . It's a bit annoying, but given the many benefits of the device, I'm happy to put up with it. BTW, an added benefit that I didn't expect is that I have the device with me every time I get in the truck, it's a visual reminder to take my phone with me. so i think most phones have no problem with that, to connect the charging cable if it is installed in the device.
