Review on Modway Veer Drafting Chair Blue by Carmen Rosean

Not very comfortable, needs some adjustment

After assembling this and rolling it around my office, I banged my butt on the seat cushion for the first time. It was fun, hard and uncomfortable. I've sat in drafting chairs before and they've always been uncomfortable. Small seats, hard seats, no backrest with support. But I needed it because my desk and monitors are set an additional 6 inches above normal. I immediately noticed that the round stool was not big enough in the radius. It's practically useless if you have a chair at a height below the max. This forces you to bring your legs back at an odd 130-160 degree angle to find a place to rest. This forces you to push your buttocks forward from the edge of the seat. Seat cushion too small. I'm not a tall person and when I sit on it there is a good 4 inches of space between the back of my knees and the seat. Bleed for the footstool in front of you. Before I decided to take it apart and send it back for a refund I had an idea. I had one of those step platforms you use for fitness and exercise. Putting this under a table raises my legs a good 4 inches. I can now sit with a straighter back alignment and a 90 degree angle to the floor. My butt now rests on the back of the seat cushion, with the backrest adding to comfort. So far, so good. But if I can find another more comfortable office chair that I can adjust the height to at least 25-30 inches off the floor, I'll take it.
