I bought this item to replace a 10 year old car backup camera. After being offered $300 at a local store to replace the camera with a "brand" camera, I looked at the setup and thought I could do it myself. The process couldn't be easier. Since this was a spare camera, it was as simple as routing the camera cable, mounting it to the bumper (same screw holes, actually!), connecting power and ground, and hooking up the video feed. It all took less than an hour with a few video checks to make sure I didn't screw anything up. The only thing I changed was to use stainless steel screws to attach the bracket to the bumper. Oh, and the picture quality is superior to the camera it replaced!
