They will do the job if you rub them hard enough and if they fit in your dog's mouth. I got these after my vet recommended a finger toothbrush to my dog, who finds a child's toothbrush too aggressive. I don't know whose finger they are for, but I have a hard time keeping them on my finger because of the size of the finger hole, especially since you need to be able to get a good enough grip to actually brush! They are very bulky so they didn't fit well in my small dog's mouth. The "bristles" are very short and basically don't move, so you have to rub quite hard to make them work. And since your dog is going to lick it off right away anyway, the bristles can't hold the gel-like dog toothpaste I use. It slides off as a unit. I ended up trying a different brand and type of finger toothbrush and it works much better.
