This shampoo is not as harsh as regular clarifying shampoo so you can use it like regular shampoo. It's high in protein so if your hair doesn't like protein I wouldn't recommend it. The consistency is thicker than other shampoos, so a little goes a long way. I also recommend rubbing it in your hand with some water before applying it to your scalp. I love that my scalp stays shiny after every wash. The only thing I don't like is that it can be a bit dry. Then I apply a moisturizing treatment that helps a lot. My hair loves protein so it's perfect for me.
