Review on 🔧 Lippert 333960 RV and Trailer Axle Grease Seal 3500LB - 1.719" Inner Diameter, 2.565" Outer Diameter (2 pack) by Steve Jones

This grease is too brittle. The metal is very soft to the touch and easily damaged during installation. The first seal I installed was severely damaged by burrs on the inner edge of the hub. I was able to salvage the gasket by removing and reshaping the leading edge that had been torn by a burr during gasket installation. I had to use a Dremel tool to bevel the hub enough to create a pronounced taper to start caulking. I have installed many oil seals over the past fifty years and have never encountered a seal made of such a soft and easily damaged metal. The difference between the sigils I removed and these sigils was easy to tell as the old sigils were made of much stronger steel. Next time I will pay more and use Timken seals.
