It may sound awkward, but I had more trouble opening the computer case than installing this card. The installation process went something like this. Spend 10 minutes figuring out how to open my new computer case. Finally, open the case. Insert this card into the PCI slot. close the case Screw on the antenna. Turn on the computer and get a message that Windows has detected new hardware. Ignore this message and insert the LinkSys driver CD into the CD-ROM drive. The driver installs itself without any action on my part - the new hardware message disappears. A screen with all available wireless networks is displayed. I choose my network, enter the WEP password and everything works. I now surf the internet and transfer files from other computers with no problem and have a great signal. My operating system is Windows XP Home and I am using a LinkSys G wireless access point. If you are using XP and have all the LinkSys products I would say you can't go wrong with this card. Installation was easy and I'm getting a great signal. For other settings, I recommend reading the rest of the reviews.
