I bought this filter because my humidifier only worked for about 5-7 days before the heating element got so much mineral build up that it wouldn't turn on. To clean it, it takes more than 24 hours to soak it in vinegar. After researching these filters and hearing great reviews (virtually no mineral deposits for ENTIRE SEASON) I bought the kit. Well they don't work. I have seen exactly NO DIFFERENCE in mineral deposits from their use. The machine will only run 5-7 days before shutting down due to too much mineral residue. Don't waste money.
