My 15 plugin is now 80K. When I bought it from the dealer they said they did a service, oil change etc and got the 68k mile certified quality car. So I waited for an oil change 80K ago. When I took the filter out I noticed it was a WIX. Interesting. Comes from a Toyota dealer. Have you ever heard of factory service with parts from other manufacturers? Neither do I. So I figured they didn't do anything special before I bought it. So I changed the spark plugs. Of course, this is OEM DENSO s11. These NGKs are almost $15 cheaper a set and wow. What a nice difference in engine smoothness. I know they need to be changed at 100,000 or even 150,000, but changing them at 80,000 miles tells me it might be too late. On a 20 mile stretch, I know Odo is reporting 52mpg today. Yesterday on the same old candles, same car, same traffic and, as far as I remember, at the same traffic light (mostly on the Autobahn) it reported 48. That's enough to say that what I did helped, even if only 2 of those MPGs, so I'm a happy camper with these forks. This is OEM quality from NGK not the performance x series so they should last 60-70k depending on riding style. And although you have to remove a lot of things to replace them, it can still be done in an hour. Not bad.
