Review on 🐭 Niteangel Small Pet Fun Tunnel: Perfect for Adult Ferrets and Rats - 39 x 4 inches by Brokencyde Greer

My rats didn't bother at all

I couldn't get my three house rats interested in this tunnel. When it first appeared, they took a quick look at it, but had no interest in crawling on it or dangling in it. I suspect this is because it's very light and therefore moves a lot; Rats probably find it repulsive. When placed in a straight configuration, the tunnel simply rolls from side to side like a log. When rolled into a C or S shape, it won't let it roll, just glides across our hardwood and tile floors. It is also not a very comfortable material for animals to walk or sit on due to the many small hard plastic protrusions. This tunnel also makes INCREDIBLE sounds when you expand, shrink or try to reshape it. As in, deafeningly loud. It makes a series of loud pops that resemble fireworks. This sound would definitely wake up my rats if they were sleeping. My preschooler loves to recreate the tunnel for fun but I'm not thrilled with the rumble he makes of it! Given how little interest my rats showed when it was outside of their cage (their free range), I have never placed it in my cage where space is limited and I only want to fit the very best items. Perhaps because my rats are spoiled for a long time without a cage, they are less interested in such trinkets. All I can say is that they didn't get any benefit from it. Your mileage may vary. hp It's not that my rats don't like tunnels! I make them temporary tunnels out of rolled up yoga mats to play with, which they love. This extra light hard plastic tunnel just didn't pass the test on them.
