Professional user here. This is one of the tools I wish I had in my tool bag every day. I've had a few over the years and the reason I've had a few is because others liked this tool enough to conveniently lose them to me. As a carpenter, I mainly used it to quickly and safely remove all types of nails, as well as other cutting jobs. This is a well balanced, compact tool that fits in a pocket and is built well enough to be used when needed. You need to develop your sense of touch to pull out lighter bits of nails instead of cutting them off. These are wire cutters so they will cut. I actually had wire cutters that chipped in one corner which again made perfect nail pullers as they grabbed the nail but didn't cut it. I love this simple tool.
