We didn't want to worry about drilling door retaining springs or adhesive washers into the wall to attach it to the wall. They are discreet and help prevent unnecessary damage to the wall of your home. The more you apply, the more resistance it covers when the door is opened. They could be installed with old door hinges, but it might be easier with newer hardware. We have one for every door in the house except the front door. You will need a hammer and pliers to apply most.
