first evaluation. Just received the goods. The shipping box was in excellent condition. The Intel box looked fine except the seal was already broken (see pictures). The white information band was intact but the factory seal was clearly opened and re-taped - note the missing letters. Also note that the chip is offset from the center of the lid. More information will come when I open the box. 6/6: CPU installed. Performance Issues - Approximately 85% of spec. Mobo and RAM have changed along with the CPU, but they are for K chips and do not delay the CPU. Enough power for everything. Cool pace. I suspect someone bought the chip, got frustrated and returned it. Supposedly Intel is doing a 1-year replacement/refund (at their own option) so I can do that if things don't improve.
