The instructions that came with this charger/holder were not well written. I literally followed them and they just didn't provide the owner with the information needed to make the device user-friendly. Following the instructions that came with the charger will put you in motorcycle mode and you cannot change the charge mode to another mode using the toggle switch. When you first connect the charger, it will check the battery status and tell you what percentage of full charge your battery has for about ten minutes. However, to change the charge mode you need to do the following: 1. Attach the alligator clip to the battery, first red to positive and then black to negative. Then plug the device into an electrical outlet. Let the charger determine the percentage of your battery. It takes about 15 minutes.2. If you now want to change the charging mode, disconnect the black alligator clip from the negative battery post. Now you can use the mode switch to change the charging mode you want for that particular battery. 3. After changing the charging mode, reattach the black alligator clip to the negative battery post. After you charge the battery, the last used charge mode will be saved in the charger's memory, so the next time you connect the charger again, it will be in the last used charge mode automatically. These instructions should be included in the manual. which comes with a charger but they are not there. I tried to email the company that sells this device but the email address for questions (in the box) was the wrong email address and that should also be corrected. I suspect there is a typo in the last part of the address. They had gemail.com and I believe it should be gmail.com. I hope my guide will help those who buy this device in the future and maybe the company will rewrite their user guide.
