I too do not like the elastic around the top of the foot. It's bulky and uncomfortable. And, although I am a size 7 (and this size is 5 to 10), they cut into the area between my toes. That's odd since so many reviews say that they are too big. (Guess they are talking about the toes.) So, back they go.Addendum before submitting the review, I received a pair of Ininji today. I haven't sent the others back yet so compared the two. The elastic around the top of the foot (Ininji) is flatter and more comfortable, the toes are "shorter" so they don't cut into the main part of my foot, If comfort is important to you (which I imagine it is if you are looking at toe socks), stick with the more expensive Ininji. Just "pay the man".
