Ideal sonar for kayaks.
Good size fish finder. Perfect size for any kayak or canoe. The neck strap is a good safety feature. I like that it consumes little battery and that the batteries are small (#4 AAA). Fish notification volume is perfect. You can also hang the transmitter in the water from a boat. I feel like it's worth every dollar. Great value at $40.

Meanwhile, it will turn off when the working distance exceeds 393 feet. Tie the kayak's transducer to a line or pole, and then throw it in the water as far as you can. The ice sonar transducer activates automatically as soon as it touches the water.
