Installed on F150 Lariat 2004 4x4, 5.4, 3V (180,000 miles) at a time. The M340HV pump fits perfectly and solves all oil pressure problems! My engine has destroyed the chain guides and eaten 2 holes in the timing cover due to chain slap. There was a DISTRESS in there. So if your newt is knocking, don't be an idiot like me and procrastinate. This problem is only getting worse! I use Motorcraft 5W30 synthetic oil. At idle I get 70psi cold and 25psi hot. It also runs about 60psi down the road. Considering the extensive damage to my engine, the oil pressure is amazing. My engine still has a few scratches on the cam journals and probably the crankshaft bearings so I wasn't expecting that much pressure! I would have completely replaced my engine but I didn't have the money so I'm hoping this repair will make it to me. So far, so good. I use ratchet chain tensioners and upgraded rocker arms with smaller oil holes. The new rockers help the oil pressure a lot at the top. If you've already replaced the pump, upgrade those rockers too! VERY happy with this pump! PS: Watch FordTechMakuloco on Youtube. He MASTER 5.4 and shows you exactly how to do those timing and oil pump jobs!
